GREEN PARTNERSHIP
Our properties are nestled along the banks of the Lachlan River at Forbes in the Central West of New South Wales. They are situated on the fertile alluvial plains between the Lachlan River and the Bundaburrah Creek. The Lachlan Valley is a renowned Lucerne producing area known for producing the finest quality hay, due to its favourable climate. Forbes is situated on the Newell Highway, which makes transporting hay to its final destination a timely and cost effective operation.
LOCATION
We are a progressive business, using the best information and technology available to produce high quality products. Some things don’t change over time, sticking to what we do well and continual improvement is something that our business has maintained as a core value in how we operate since the establishment of Green Partnership. We pride ourselves on trying to be the best in the business.
From humble beginnings of selling lucerne hay to Cobb and Co as they passed through Forbes all those years ago, lucerne hay is still a key focus for our business some seven generations on.
We have built today’s business on the specialist skillset that we have developed and fostered as a family business since the first members of our family began making lucerne hay all those years ago. Coupled with the modern technology and machinery that exists today, our business is well positioned with regard to skills and tools available to do what we do to the highest possible standard.
The crops that we grow are both irrigated and rain fed. Our irrigated crops utilise both groundwater and surface water, sourced from the Lachlan River. Irrigation enables our business to produce hay of the finest quality, on a consistent basis which lends itself to the specialised and diverse markets that we participate in.
Though the size and the scale of our business, we are able to provide hay to customers no matter how large or small the order is, across all grades required all year round.
